Notifiable Diseases
Six cases of infective hepatitis were reported in the Christchurch Health District last week. They involved two children, one each in the Addington and Opawa districts, a woman in her twenties in the Malvern County, a man in his twenties in the Paparua County, a woman in her seventies in the St Albans area and a teen-age girl in Spreydon.
The other notifiable diseases reported were five cases of food poisoning—a family of four in the Mairehau area and a child at Mount Pleasant—and two of pulmonary tuberculosis.
