Breeders Visit Sheep Flocks
Sixty-two Suffolk and South Suffolk breeders from North Canterbury to Southland visited flocks in Mid-Canter-bury and attended a meeting last week. The gathering was representative of the majority of breeders in the South Island and three North Islanders, who are members of the breed committee of the New Zealand Sheepbreeders’ Association, also took part. On Thursday visits were made to the flocks of Messrs J. R. Bruce, of Kinkora, Pendarves, and F. J. Amos, at Wakanui. Mr Amos is the chairman of the Suffolk and South Suffolk breed committee. A meeting of breeders was held that evening when Mr J. E. Gardiner, of Pine Grove, Amberley, spoke about
