Mail For Israel
Delays, caused by a new procedure which calls for the inspection of all air mail items bound for Israel, have caused the temporary suspension of the air mail service for packets, including letterpackets and parcels, addressed to destinations in Israel. Because of the limited volume of air mail received in New Zealand for Israel, items are sent to Australia for inclusion in direct dispatches; made up by that country. The position is now being examined by the New Zealand Post Office, with a view to the; reintroduction of an air mail service from New Zealand.— (P.A.).
