Conference On Fishing Gear
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) REYKJAVIK, May 25. The fish stocks of the North Atlantic are being fully fished and methods are needed tc prevent damage by overfishing, the Icelandic Minister of Fisheries (Mr Eggert Thorsteinsson) said today.
He was speaking at the opening session of an international congress on fishing gear, held under the auspices of the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organisation and attended by about 300 delegates.
