Press Assn—Copyright) i SIDNEY The Sydney owner, Mr H Steinberg, has refused an American offer of 180,000 for the New Zealand-bred sprinter Broker’s Tip. winner of this year s Epsom and Doncaster Handicaps at Randwick. Mr Steinberg said he had knocked back a $60,000 offer from a Sydney man before the American bid for the horse but Broker's Tip could not be bought for under 1125.000. ‘ Broker's Tip is on the market to be sold but I want the right price for him.’’ .Mr Steinberg said. "1 hate to lose Broker's Tip . . . but I have decided to make it known that he is up for sale because I fee! it will bp hard to place him in races after the Stradbroke Handicap in Brisbane.' Mr Steinberg said the horse, a four-year-old chestnut by Summertime from Fatehpur Sikri could only run in weight-for-age races because he would be weighted out of handicap events. Transferring.—The Northern Districts batsman. J. H Blackmore. is leaving Hamilton shortly to live in New Plymouth. He will be a strong contender for the Central Districts team next season.
