N.Z.B.C. OPPOSED
Radio Station Application (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. April 16. The New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation today received notice that its application for an additional radio station for Dunedin would be opposed by a newly-formed organisation called the Federation of Independent Commercial Broadcasters N.Z., the acting director general of the N.Z.B.C. (Mr L. R. Sceats) announced.
The notice of opposition was signed by Mrs Betty Thomas of Radio i and Mr David Gapes of Radio Hauraki.
In addition the Aucklandbased companies Radio i and Radio Hauraki gave notice that they will each oppose the application on their own behalf.
