Recovery Of Tanker
(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, April 16. The petrol tanker which plunged 50 feet into the Grey River from the highway at Stillwater on Thursday afternoon was lifted back to the road at noon today. Salvage of the $12,000 vehicle, which was not badly damaged, started on Wednesday evening. The cargo of 1700 gallons of fuel was drained into the river because of its weight—between eight and 10 tons.
