THE DAIMLER-BENZ CAR MUSEUM IN STUTTGART is becoming more famous year by year, and in 1969 a record number of 144,520 persons from 126 countries visited it—26 per cent more than in 1968. The three-storey museum has displays covering the entire history of motoring. The photograph shows part of the section devoted to the 1955 Mercedes competition cars. The museum was first opened in 1951, and since then nearly If million people have visited it.
