Shark In Net
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, April 8. A 9ft blue pointer shark was found in the St Clair shark net when it was raised today. It was the sixth shark caught in the net since it was first laid off St Clair beach in December last year. It had been in the net only a few days, according to Mr L. Waters, a Port Chalmers fisherman who has tended the net for the Otago Surf Lifesaving Association.
The president of the Otago Surf Lifesaving Association, Mr Pat Ellison, said tonight the net had more than proved its worth in the time it had been down at St Clair.
