TROTTING EASY WIN TO GLOBE BAY

Glebe Bay. • Httle-fanciad runner, had an easy win In the Victoria Park Raceway Handicap, first leg of the T.A.R. double on. the first night of the Greymouth Trotting Club's meeting at Greymouth last night. Royal Lee. Glenrock and Teviot Express began best in the Victoria Park Handicap but the second time past the stands Local Rose was the leader from Royal Lee. Teviot Express. Glenrock, Show Girl, and Clandeboye. With a round to go Local Rose was still in charge from Globe Bay. Royal Lee; Show Girl, and Teviot Express. Globe Bay was first to turn for home and he ran right away from the field to win by five lengths. Clandeboye was second, a neck in front of Local Rose, with three lengths to Show Girl. Then came Nola Kot, Teviot Express. Caught Again, Caroldon. Kingsway Star, and Apollo King. The well-backed Our Guy broke at the start and finished last. SECOND LEG The best-backed horses in the second leg, the Westland Handicap. finished first and second. False Idea won by three lengths from False Square. The early leaders were Copper Braid, Local Boy. Sovereign Lady, False Idea, and Orient Belle. With a mile to go Copper Braid led from Orient Belle. False Square. Safe Landing. Sovereign Lady, and False Idea. At the half mile Copper Braid was still in charge from Sovereign Lady and Safe Landing together, followed a length
