Extension For Riccarton Mall
The Riccarton Mall, the 55,000 square-foot shopping complex in Riccarton Road, which opened five years ago, is being expanded by the owners, for whom the property consultants are Livingstone and Jones, Lang, Wootton. The extension will provide another 20,000 square feet of specialty shops and office space. The plan also provides for another 150 parking spaces, made possible by the purchase and demolition of houses in Division Street. The project is estimated to cost $400,000. The extension, which has been designed by Colin Lamb and Stewart, has been approved by the Riccarton Borough Council, and the architects are now engaged on detailed drawings. The architects’ drawing above shows the Mall as it will be when the extensions are made. The view is from the north-east, on Riccarton Road.
