Unions Adopt March On Parliament
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 6. A four-hour stop-work and march on Parliament are to be held by Wellington region trade unionists in protest at continuing price rises, a packed meeting called by the Wellington Trades Council decided this morning.
The stop-work will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12. About 200 delegates representing the majority of Wellington’s unions, and including observers from the Public Service Association, and the Combined State Services Organisations, attended the meeting.
