Youths Fined $20
Two youths were each fined $2O when they appeared before Messrs E. W. Tippins, S. W. Hayes and C. W. S. White, justices of the peace, in the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday on charges of using obscene language in Cathedral Square on Friday evening. They are John Charles Frandon, a storeman, and David Harold Costigan, a factory labourer, both aged 17. Jacob Hakapo Kemp, aged 35, a freezing worker, was remanded in custody until today on a charge of assaulting a female. Sergeant W. W. Moloney strongly opposed the granting of bail.
