Coal Prospects

Silver Valley Minerals, N.L., said at the week-end that drilling on its Mawson and Mittagong coal prospects in New South Wales had been very encouraging and a commercial operation might be established at Mittagong. The directors expect reserves, to total 100 million tons, and positive steps might be taken to develop a mining operation, initially expected to handle a million tons of coal a year.
