Boost For Gadsden
J. Gadsden Australia, Ltd, Melbourne-based packaging group, raised net profit by 55 per cent in the half-year ended December 31. While sales rose by 17.1 per cent, net earnings moved up from 3737,341 to $1,139,013. Interim dividend has been held at 4 per cent in line with the usual 8 per cent annual rate, although profit boosts earning rate from 11.2 per cent to a record 17.3 per cent on an annual basis. In their interim report the directors say they anticipate that the present rate of growth will be maintained and “results for the full year will be most satisfactory.” ■
