MAORI IN NEW ZEALAND BRIDGE TEAM.—T. Winiata (left) and V. Gravis, both of Wellington, who are members of the team chosen to represent New Zealand in international contract bridge in Australia next July. Winiata, aged 28, comes from a Rotorua farming family and is the first Maori to be a Dominion representative bridge player. Gravis, aged 29, was born in Latvia and came to New Zealand 18 years ago. They are the youngest bridge players to represent New Zealand.
