B.N.Z. Staff Changes

Mr V. L. Ansell has been appointed chief inspector, administration, at the head office of the Bank of New Zealand to succeed Mr J. S. Shaw, who has held the post since 1962, and who retired on March 31 after 44 years service with the bank. Mr Shaw was accountant at the bank’s Christchurch branch from 1946 to 1952. Mr Ansell joined the bank at Whangarei in 1937, and has held several executive positions in branches and at the head office. He was the bank’s chief accountant for five years until 1968, when he was appointed an inspector. Mr R. C. Barlow, inspector and senior manager of the international division of the bank, left New Zealand at Easter to take up his appointment as manager of the bank’s London branch. Mr H. M. Buchanan, the bank’s former London manager, will return to New Zealand in May to take up the post of chief inspector, advances, at head office.
