(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 6. Mr I. L. G. Stewart, of Wellington, is to become New Zealand’s Ambassador to Italy in succession to Mr A. D. Mclntosh, who is retiring. Mr R. W. Sharp will become Consul-General in San Francisco, in succession to Mr J. G. Hale, who has resigned. Mr Stewart is at present serving as Ambassador to

Thailand and Laos, and New Zealand council representative to S.E.A.T.O. He will take up his new appointment early in June.

Mr Sharp is at present serving as counsellor and deputy high commissioner at the New Zealand High Commission in Ottawa. He will take up his appointment towards the end of this month.
