St Bede’s College Tops Points

Although winning only one of the individual grades. St Bede’s College topped the over-all points aggregate in the boys’ inter-school , athletics championships. With 42 points, St Bede’s was four clear of last year’s winner, Christchurch Boys’ High School.

With its athletes winning four of the 16 individual contests in the senior division, Christchurch Boys’ High School was given a good start towards a clear win in the grade. With 22 joints, .Christchurch was seven clear of St Bede’s, which won a close contest in the/intermediate division, however. Shirley Boys’ High School was the

only school to gain top points in more than one, grade by winning the junior and under-14 sections.

St Margaret’s College enhanced an already enviable record in the girls’ sports by winning the over-all points contest for at least the fourth successive year.
