High Commissioner Tours The New Zealand High Commissioner in London (Sir Denis Blundell), on Friday ended a three-day visit to the city of Coventry. The visit is one in the series of goodwill activities Sir Denis Blundell is carrying out in provincial centres. Sir Denis Blundell, who was accompanied by Lady Blundell, spoke at a meeting attended by members of the New Zear land Friends and Relatives Association. He and Lady Blundell went on to Edinburgh.—London, March 22. Lindis Accidents Dust on the Lindis Pass Road is becoming a traffic hazard, and has been reported as the cause of at least two accidents. After an accident two weeks ago in which four Dunedin people were injured, a similar accident occurred last Monday involving American tourists. According to reports, the accidents occurred when the cars were following other traffic which was throwing up clouds of dust Both cars are reported to have missed approaches to bridges. Drought Claims At the recent meeting of the South Canterbury Drought Relief Committee claims for transport charges amounting to $105,000 were passed for payment This brings to $200,000 the total of drought claims paid in the South Canterbury area.
