New Kaikoura Translator
The New Zealand broadcasting Corporation’s new peri manent television translator for the coastal area of Kaii koura will begin tranmission on April 29. 1 N.Z.B.C. staff will begin ■ testing the equipment soon. It includes an emergency gen- • erator to overcome power ■ failures, and stands 3400 ft up i on Mount Alexander, above > the Blue Duck Valley. The station would repeat the CHTV3 programme on t Channel 8. and develop an ef- • fective radiated power output of 700 watts, the southern , regional director of the . N.Z.B.C. (Mr J. M. N. Nori man) said on Friday.
