Behind him, in order, are J. le Grice (Auckland), P. Reeves (Auckland), J. Power (Canterbury), who is the national champion, D. Sirl (Auckland), G. Thorley (Wellington), who was second, and K. Hamilton (Canterbury), who was third. Keino won the race in 14min l.2sec.
