Take-over Of N.Z. Paper Mills
Sir, —“Disgruntled Shareholder” is well aware that I have generalised on a certain theme regarding the takeover of the New Zealand Paper Mills. It has never been my intention to do otherwise. There is a time and a place for everything. No hard feelings and thanks. Any impression I may have created, that one should not stand up for one’s rights is totally incorrect. Should we start by discussing who owns the assets of N.Z. Paper Mills? Who created those assets from the pile of junk, that paid such decent dividends before Fletchers moved in?— Yours, etc., ENDEAVOUR. March 19, 1970. Sir, —I agree wholly with “Disgruntled Shareholder." “Endeavour” seems to be diverting a lot from the scheme of things, mainly the price offered for our shares. Surely a share in a company making a handsome profit is worth the value of its assets, even when they are written
