Americans Accused

The Egypian Vice-Presi-dent, Anwar El Sadat, said last night that the United States Government has asked Israel to topple President Nasser before the end of June.
Mr Sadat said the United States wanted to see President Nasser replaced before it leaves the Wheelus airbase in neighbouring Libya. The American withdrawal is planned for June 30.
President Sadat said at a political rally a’ Cairo University: “We have information that in October last year, America and Israel agreed that the conflict should end quickly and decisively because a long battle is not in Israel’s favour.”
