Some Wool Dearer At Auckland Sale

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. March 20. Second shear, clothing oddments and finer lambs' wool were dearer at the seventh Auckland wool sale of the season today, according to the official report.

There was a total offering [of 19,950 bales of wool, com prising 50 per cent second ' shear and early shorn, 20 pei cent lambs’ wool of a wide range, 15 per cent full-length fleece and the usual oddments This quantity fell short of the quota by 8000 bales be i cause of drought conditions, i which also affected the stan ! dard of the wool. There was a big range in both the colour and style of the second shear, with a pro portion of higher-yieldins autumn-shorn shears avail able.
