Works For N.Z. Art Show

Four works by New Zealanders have been sent from 1 the Robert MacDougall Art! Gallery to Auckland for the special exhibition of New Zealand art to be shown to! the Queen. I The Queen Elizabeth 11. Arts Council decided to draw ' on major public collections! for the exhibition, the criteria for selection being major works produced in the 19605.!

The Christchurch works, all recent purchases, are: “Last! Supper VI.” a bronze sculp-! ture by Paul Beadle; “Black Painting,” an acrylic on can-! vas, by Ralph Hotere: “A Royal Hanging,” an oil by i Philip Trusttum; and “Colour Grid.” Abacus 111, an oili by John Coley. After the exhibition for the! Royal visit to Auckland the collection will go on tour, and will be in Christchurch in: July and August.
