Bond Sales
Post Office bonus bonds worth more than $750,000 have been sold in Christchurch. Sales throughout New Zealand exceed $6.7 million. The Chief Postmaster in Christchurch (Mr M. T. Reedy) said yesterday that sales in the Christchurch postal district reached $751,387 at the close of business on Wednesday and by last Tuesday sales throughout the country had risen to $6,716,492. The New Zealand total represented average sales of nearly $750,000 a day during the nine days the bonds had been available.
