Boycott Of Hotels
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. March 1. Participation in this week’s planned boycott of the Midland and De Bretts hotels in Wellington was a matter for each individual’s conscience, the secretary of the Wellington Public Service Association (Mr, C. Lewis) said tonight. The hotels would not be picketed, nor would those wishing to enter them be questioned or coerced into changing their minds. The Wellington branch of tile P.S.A. has called for a boycott of the two hotels this week as a protest against price increases. The Midland and De Bretts hotels were chosen as each is owned by one of the major breweries.
