The inquiry for New Zealand lamb improved slightly due to a lessening in supplies of home-killed lamb on Smithfield Market, London, this week, the Meat Board says. Quotations for New Zealand lamb remained unchanged. The main grade (prime 29/361h) was quoted again at 29Jd to 31d per lb. New- Zealand mutton was in very short supply and quotations were largely nominal. The main grade of hogget (49-561 b was 21d a lb and ewes were 19d.
