Better Demand For N.Z. Lamb (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 27. The inquiry for New Zealand lamb improved slightly due to a lessening in supplies of home-killed lamb on Smithfield Market, London, this week, the Meat Board says. Quotations for New Zealand lamb remained unchanged. The main grade (prime 29/361h) was quoted again at 29Jd to 31d per lb. New- Zealand mutton was in very short supply and quotations were largely nominal. The main grade of hogget (49-561 b was 21d a lb and ewes were 19d. Price Var’n d d per lb per lb Prime: 281 b and under 294-31 n.c. 291 b to 361 b .. .29?,-31 n.c. 371 b to 421 b .. 29J-31 n.c. 431 b to 501 b .. 25i-26 F.A.Q.: 281 b and under 29 -301 n.c. 291 b to 361 b . . 294-30 J —A Omegas: (nominal) .. 29 n.c. Very little boneless ox beef was offered and prices were firm.
