Jackpot Won HAMILTON. The northern trotting jackpot was struck for the second time this year when one entry scooped the pool of $27,014 at the Waikato Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday night. Before the running of the final jackpot race there were five live, entries. Two nominated Arabond (third) as the final selection, and another two were on the unplaced second favourite. True One. Driver Injured (N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU. The driver, J. M. Williamson, suffered fractured ribs and an injured ankle when Piper fell after two furlongs in the Salisbury Handicap at Timaru on Saturday. His condition is reported to be satisfactory. Piper fell when free of interference and caused several other runners to lose all chance. R. E. Roach, the driver of Copper Braid, was not injured when that runner fell with about five furlongs to run in the Washdyke Handicap. Copper Braid caused interference to almost half the field.
