TWO ROYAL AIRCRAFT
Plan Change Confirmed (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 1. The Queen and Prince Charles would not now travel on the same aircraft during their tour of New Zealand this month, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said in a statement yesterday. Mr Holyoake said the reason for his decision was the type of country over which the Royal party would be flying. Minor alterations to the Royal tour itinerary have been made because of, the change in transport arrangements. Under the new arrangements, said the Prime Minister, the Prince of Wales and Princess Anne would drive to Hamilton and return on March 25. while the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh would fly as originally planned. On two other days, he said, the aircraft carrying the Prince of Wales and Princess Anne would leave earlier than the Queen's aircraft, and [there would be some minor rearrangements of the motor l convoys as a result of this.
