Cocky Raider, the backmarker of the series on 24 yards, ran a O phenomenal race to finish third if to Garry Rowan on Saturday . night just short of two miles. *’ It was a run which would have ’t matched most staying performances ever put up in New Zealand and although he finished second and secured fastest time he could not get sufficient points to qualify. Imatoff looked desperately unlucky not to win a heat, being second behind Lucky Creed after being badly away from the barrier and it took Adios Court tn beat him on >C the second night.
