Manufacture is of products in continuously growing demand throughout the world. The appointee would be required to take up his position late in 1970. The object will be that within seven years he may be equipped to assume the top administrative appointment of the company. Responsibility during the initial period would be to the Managing Director and thereafter to the Board of Directors. We are seeking a man, preferably under 40 years of age, who has high academic qualifications, a notable record of success in progress to top management, and diplomacy of a calibre that would enable easy rapport with people in all walks of life. He will have ability to negotiate at all levels, capacity to lead a very strong, established management team, and willingness to delegate responsibility to the maximum extent. He should be highly qualified in Engineering, Science, Economics or Agriculture, preferably supported by a further qualification in Business Administration. He will already be occupying a very senior appointment in a manufacturing industry of significance, and be completely prepared to devote his time and energy to the continued progress of the company over the next twenty-five years. Because the 1970's will be a period of further scientific and technological progress the successful appointee must be conditioned to meet new demands and rapid changes. Later on, there is likely to be overseas travel meeting colleagues who possess very extensive talents. A company car. entertainment allowance and a very generous superannuation scheme will be available.
