TRANSPORT LICENCES
Rangiora Freight Services. Ltd. and A. G. Wilson were each granted a new goods service licence for the cartage of general goods by the No. 9 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr J. M. Dwyer) yesterday. Shell Oil New Zealand. Ltd was granted an amendment to its goods service licence by including the No. 9 district and Kaikoura County for the cartage of aviation fuel in bulk from the applicant s installation at Lyttelton direct to airfields, with’ exemption from rail restrictions. N.Z. Smelters was granted a new goods service licence with two vehicle authorities to carry scrap metal in the South Island with exemption from rail restriction. and to carry one back load a trip to Christchurch. New Zealand Railway Road Services was granted an appli cation to reduce the running time of the service between Christchurch and Akaroa by five minutes made possible by a higher speed limit for buses. Approval was *lso given to adjusting the running times oi the Akaroa-Eastern Bays-Akaroa services.
