Thirty-three horses have been entered for the $26,500 Easter Cup. which is to be run in six qualifying heats, a final and a consolation race at the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s Easter meeting. If withdrawals reduce the final acceptors to 30 or less it is expected that the club will reduce the number of qualifying heats to two on each of the first two nights and divide one of the other races into two separate events.

The club will run night meet, ings on March 14 and 21. with a day meeting on March 28.
