ATTACKS ON AIRCRAFT
Local Boycott Suggested , <N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 26. ! A local boycott of aviation I in the Middle East might be a better technique to counter terrorist attacks on civil aviation- than a 24-hour world strike, the president of the Airline Pilots Association A. L. Baggott) said in Auckland today. Captain Baggott said he (Woujd attend the meeting in London on March 11 of the international Federation of Airline Pilots Associations. New Zealand pilots were i firmly behind the federation's policy on hi-jacking. Political attacks on aircraft were a ■ new development. Whatever policy was decided in London would be re- | ported to pilots here, so that ithey could discuss it. he said. ; New Zealand was a long way ifrom the area involved and ‘he felt that a local boycott 'would be more effective than ! an international strike.
