(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 26. Sales and profits of Motor Specialties. Ltd, of Auckland, showed a satisfactory increase in the half-year to December 31, the directors say in their interim report. This and the current trend of business ensured that the forecast of a steady dividend of 12} per cent would be fulfilled on capital increased bylast year’s 1:10 bonus issue. Last year, the dividend was raised from 11 to 12} per cent
To even out the payments, the interim will be raised from 51 to 6 per cent, which is payable on April 17, ex dividend April 6. Last year, profit jumped 35:8 per cent to a record $672,225, earned at the rate of 232 per cent on capital after the bonus issue.
