Laidlaw To Return

LONDON. C. R. Laidlaw, the All Black scrum-half who captained Oxford University to victory over South Africa last year, will be available for the university team again next season.
Laidlaw, who started urban sociology studies at Mansfield College 18 months ago, is at present doing field work in Fiji. He will not be captaining the team again—the new [captain is an Australian, P. ! Carroll—but it is expected that he will be playing halfback in the university match [on December 8. Laidlaw, who hopes to win [selection in the AU Biack [team to tour South Africa, is [to return to Oxford in Octojber for his final academic 'year. He is studying for a B. Litt.
