RESULT OF BY-ELECTION
Comment By P.S.A. (N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, Feb. 25. The result of the by-election in Marlborough clearly showed the depth of dissatisfaction with Government inaction over price increases, the chairman of the Marlbo rough section of the Public Service Association (Mr D. J. Morris) said this morning. Mr Morris said his section wholeheartedly supported the Wellington section of the P.S.A. in its boycott of two Wellington hotels. The public was entitled to ask why price increases were not required to be justified before the Price Tribunal, he said. “This is especially true in the case of the beer price increase, where substantial profits continue to be made by the suppliers.”
