Second-Hand Cars
Sir,— Recently 1 assisted a friend to choose a secondhand car. Two large firms offered cars with a short-term guarantee, which was immediately withdrawn when we spoke of getting an A.A. check. One of these dealers even displayed a notice inviting an A.A. check. Needless to sav there was no deal. Does the L.M.V.D. approve of this practice?—Yours, etc., NO DEAL. February 12, 1970.
