Top Placing To Me Vicar (N.Z. Press Association.) LEVIN. The 20-year-old Aucklander, R. McVicar, took top honours in the main event, the ? grade puissance, on the first day of the Levin Show jump ing yesterday. R. Allen (New South Wales), S. Mitchell (Gis borne) and McVicar were equal at sft 9in. No-one cleared the final round, with the maximum jump standing at 6ft 4in, but McVicar had fewer faults and won the event. '• Mitchell has a firm grip on the equizole prize for points collected on the North Island circuit. He holds first place on Walnut with 31 points, and second place on Jatent with 25. L. Ball ‘‘'(New South Wales) is third with 19. Ball, riding Moonbi, had clear rounds ift the A Grade (Table A) to Win by o.7sec with a time of 36.45ec in the final timed round. Second was Miss S. Trumper, on Llewellyn, and third was Mitchell, riding Walnut The New Zealanders to compete against the New South Wales team today are: Mitchell, on Jatent and Walnut, C. Clarke, on Town Boy. and Miss Trumper, on Llewellyn. Thg reserve is McVicar on Ivanhoe.
