TANKER ON ROCKS.—Waves wash over the foredeck of the crippled 11,379-ton Liberian tanker Arrow as she lies on the rocks in Chebucto Bay, Nova Scotia. A slow-moving oil slick, half a mile long and 100ft wide, seeping from the holes in her sides, is causing concern.
