Immigration
Sir, —T h e Government’s plans for increased immigration are not going to make 'New Zealand a better place to 'live in. The assisted immi grant is often a person who] has never been able to sue-' ceed in anything, and who is likely to remain a burden; on society. A better result could be had if New Zealand would encourage skilled enterprising people, not necessarily from Britain, who could pay their own fares. The only people who should be assisted are refugees, and race should not be the criterion.— Yours, etc., KEEP THE DRONES OUT. , February 11, 1970.
