FIRE UNDER FLOOR
A fire under the floor of the old splint department building at Christchurch Hospital about 1.26 p.m. yesterday caused minor damage. Three machines from headquarters and one each from Sockburn and Sydenham answered the call.
A small grass fire at 11 Carisbrook Street at 1.4 T>.m caused no damage to property. Two machines from the New' Brighton Volunteer Fire Brigade and one from headquarters answered the call
