Prices for full-fleece wools at the Wanganui wool sale today were in buyers’ favour.

The official sale report said that compared with the recent Timaru sale, prices for fullfleece wool, especially average and inferior lines, were in buyer’s favour, and all other inscriptions were firm. More than 25.000 bales of new season's wool were off ered. comprising 45 pef cent ewe fleece. 16 per cent early shorn and second shear, 25 per cent lambs wool and the rest oddments. Many lines were of mixed length and quality but some lines of lamb’s wool were well prepared. There was good competition. the Continent being the main buyer. Japanese buyers' were quiet.
