The first cricket test between the touring New Zealand Universities’ side and Australian Universities finished in a draw yesterday.
Negative play by both teams prevented any chance of a result. New Zealand scored 299 in its first innings, then dismissed Australian Uni- > versifies for 271. Australia resumed yester- ■ day morning at 101 for five ■ i and in the first two hours of ■ 1 play scored only 39 runs. The captain, J.
