Damaged Letter-Box
Sir, —We have had no objection previously to our letterbox being used as a checkpoint for various car rallies, but wish to protest strongly to those who organised a rally which passed along Bridge Road, Fernside, on Sunday, February 8. We would suggest that to demolish a farmer’s letter-box, even accidentally, calls for an acknowledgement or apology, if not an offer to repair the damage. —Yours, etc., (MRS) J. P. FARQUHAR.
