SUBDIVISIONS OFFICER Salary range—Minimum $6663 per annum Maximum $7063 per annum Applicants must be registered as an Authorised Surveyor under the Land Surveyors’ Act. PLANNING OFFICER Salary range—Minimum $6016 per annum Maximum $6626 per annum Preference will be given to applicants with qualifications acceptable to the Australian Planning institute for corporate membership and with experience in the development control and site applications section of a planning office. DESIGN ENGINEER AN EXPERIENCED structural or mechanical engineer, preferably registered, is required for a variety of design work involving a modern pulp and paper mill. Applicants should be graduates or members of the appropriate institute of engineers and have a particular interest in project design work. The position may involve some field work and supervision of labour. Experience in the pulp and paper or a process industry would be an advantage. The Company is operating two tissue machines, a refiner pulp mill and a further paper machine is planned. The successful applicant will live at Kawerau in the Bay of Plenty. Kawerau is a new town with a population of about 6000 people and has good shopping, school and recreation facilities Modern three-bedroom accommodation is available at a reasonable rental. Salary will be negotiated but will be set at a level attractive to a competent senior man. Superannuation is available after a qualifying period and on invitation staff may elect to join.
