Games Entries A Record
(N Z PA -Reuter—Copyright) EDINBURGH. A record 37 countries are now due to compete in the Commonwealth Games at Edinburgh in July The previous record was 35 countries at the Cardiff Games in 1958. Countries which took part in the 1966 games in Jamaica still to be heard from are British Honduras, Dominica, St Vincent and Guyana. The latest announcement of intention to participate came from the tiny island of St Lucia in the Caribbean, which says it will send a team of three to the games. It is estimated that about 1800 competitors and officials will attend.
