Woman Claims $US350,000
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) HOUSTON (Texas), Feb. 4. A claim for $U5350,000 damages has been filed by a Houston woman who says that she is paralysed as a result of taking birth-control pills. Mrs Della Sue Osborn, aged 25, submits that the Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation, of New Jersey, the manufacturer of the pill, was negligent in not warning her of its dangers. Her petition says that she suffered a thrombosis of the brain last June, which resulted in paralysis, physical pain and mental anguish. Her husband is a party to the claim, which asks for a trial by jury.
